6. Practicing
A. There is no guarantee of practice time. Practice will be held only if sufficient time, conditions and referees allow. Practice will be closed 15 minutes before the start of the Driver's Meeting.
B. Practicing will be allowed only after each vehicle's drivers have all registered and the vehicle has the staging number(s) on it.
C. A practice track may remain open under the discretion of the officials.
D. There will be no practicing on Championship days while other races are in progress.
E. All other race rules apply.
7. Trophy Winners
A. Awards will be given for first (1st) through fifth (5th) place (number of entrants permitting).
B. All divisions will hold a point race based off regular season events. The top point earner and the runner-up will be recognized at the end of the season.
C. Points are accrued by top five (5) finishes during the regular season events. They are awarded as follows:

1. 1st Place..........5 points

2. 2nd Place..........4 points

3. 3rd Place..........3 points

4. 4th Place...........2 points

5. 5th Place...........1 points
D. Our Gang does not recognize ties in the point races. In the event of a tie, the following tie breakers will be applied in this order.

1. The driver with the most first place finishes.

2. The driver with the most second place finishes.

3. The driver with the most third place finishes.

4. The driver with the most fourth place finishes.

5. A two (2) lap tie-breaking race will be run between the tied drivers.
8. Protests
A. Protest will only be accepted by the President for mechanical or safety equipment violations, invalid driver's license, or other cheating. The decisions of the officials are referees are final and cannot be protested.
B. Protests may ONLY be made by the driver(s) involved and prior to next pairing.
C. Valid protests must be accompanied by a $50 cash deposit. If the protest is upheld, the deposit will be returned. If the protest is denied, the deposit will be retained by OUR GANG 4 WHEELERS, INC. for defrayment of costs.
9. Cheating
A. A fine of $100.00 and/or banishment from further races held by OUR GANG 4 WHEELERS, INC. will be imposed on any person caght cheating. No trophies will be awarded. These decisions will be made at the discretion of the referees.
10. The Referees
A. The referee reserves the right to interpret these rules as necessary, to bar intoxicated or disorderly persons from competition, to rule in the interests of general safety and all unforseen points of controversy as they may arise. ALL DECISIONS OF THE REFEREES WILL BE FINAL!!

IX. Vehicle Specifications / Safety Equipment

(See Specific Division for Additional Requirements.)
A. The suspension must be able to support the vehicle without bottoming out and be able to safely negotiate the race course.
B. All vehicles must be self starting.
C. All vehicles must have a positive on/off ignition switch within easy reach of the driver.
D. All vehicles must have at least a 12 ounce radiator coolant overflow can.
E. All pedals must be of non-skid material.
F. Steering wheel diameter may not be less than 12 inches and they must be securely fastened.
G. All vehicles must have correct steering geometry and sufficient brakes to stop the vehicle.
H. All carburetors must be covered; hoods required.
I. All fuel lines must be in good condition and securely mounted.
J. Loose or liquid ballast must be securely mounted to the vehicle at the discretion of the Tech. Committee.
K. All gas cans, loose tires and unsecured items must be removed from any vehicle before entering the staging line. All tow bars must be removed or secured in place to the satisfaction of the Tech. Committee.
L. All automatic shifters must be equipped with a positive reverse lockout device secured to the shifter/transmission (not to the frame).
M. Wheel studs must extend through the rim by at least one-half inch (1/2"). All alloy wheels must use appropriate lug nuts.
N. Nitrous oxide must be mounted outside of the driver's compartment.
O. All vehicles must retain stock OEM (factory type) frame that was produced in quantities of 1,000 or more. Altered, reinforced or lightened front and rear cross members are allowed. No outside dimensions of the frame may be altered (widening, shorteneing, lengthening, etc.) more than two (2) inches. Dimensions must be within one (1) inch of factory wheelbase for frame claimed.
P. All vehicles must have four (4) operable brakes, except for Competition Division where steering brakes are allowed.
Q. Seat belts are MANDATORY in all classes. Seats must be bolted to the floor or frame. Non-stock seats must be braced, framed or supported.
R. SNELL approved helmets are MANDATORY in the Competition division. DOT approved helmets are MANDATORY in the Pro Street division. Snell approved helmets are recommended for Pro Street and Street Stock divisions. All helmets should be appropriate size and worn in the proper manner. All helmets will be checked during vehicle's tech in.
S. Neutral safety switches are MANDATORY on all automatic transmissions. Scatter shields and transmission blankets are recommended on all transmissions.
T. The vehicle must have a full metal front clip; metal, fiberglass or composite body panels; and a firewall properly installed. This includes complete flooring in the driver's compartment with all holes plugged.
U. The battery and fuel system must be secured to the satisfaction of the Safety committee.
V. At the discretion of the Tech Committee, if a problem is not performance enhancing or a safety issue, a driver will be given until the next race to correct it.
W. Recommended Equipment:

1. Fire extinguisher

2. A full circumference front and rear driveline loop located approximately at the center of the driveline.

3. Arm restraints, a side bar with a window net covering at least 60% of the driver's side opening and padding on the roll cage around, over and behind the driver's head area.

4. Neck braces are strongly recommended, but not mandatory for classes using helmets.
