8.  If a class starts with seven (7) drivers, a sevens bracket will be used.  If a class starts with eight (8) drivers, an eights bracket will be used.  In all other situations, the Head of Staging Official has discretion over whether to use a fives or sixes bracket.

**Please note that the entire section for Street Stock was reorganized for the addition of the Studs class rules.  Only changed bare rubber rules and all new rules for the studs class are listed below.**

5.  DOT approved helmets are MANDATORY for the Studs class.  Snell approved helmets are recommended.  Helmets are not required, but are recommended for the Bare Rubber class.

4.  Ice tires (i.e. most Blizzaks, soft compound retread, etc.) that are deemed to be "studless tires" by refereees are not allowed and MUST be moved to Pro Street Division Bare Rubber Class.  Tires that came studded and have been de-studded are permitted.

C.  Studs Class
1.  NO ONE that drives in any other class is eligible to drive in this class the same weekend.

2.  Tire changing of any kind is not allowed at the event, except for flats, which need to be cleared by an Our Gang Official.

3.  Tires must be factory produced and street legal.  Tires designed for ice racing will be placed in Pro Street Division Studs.

4.  Studs must be of factory type.  No handmade or altered studs are allowed.

5.  The maximum stud length allowed is 17mm (.668 of an inch).  If the Tech Committee has any doubt about a stud, it will be pulled out for inspection.

6.  A maximum of 20 studs per 40 sq. inches will be allowed, as measured by a 7 1/8" round template.

7.  Tires should be in good condition and the studs secured to the satisfaction of the Tech Committee.  Studs should be installed according to factory specifications.

8.  Minimum tread width allowed is 4 inches.

9.  Minimum tire pressure allowed is 10 lbs. per tire.
